Barefoot Walking – Energize Your Body

The earth is full of energies and getting in touch with these energies nourishes the body as well as the mind and soul. Walking barefoot on grass, also known as ‘earthing’, has been in the news for some time.

People across the globe enjoy doing it in the early morning or late afternoon— and not just on grass, you can walk barefoot on soil or sand, too

By walking barefoot we experience multiple benefits that we don’t receive either at all or nearly as much by walking with shoes. One of the more obvious benefits of walking barefoot is that we have a connection to the earth and it’s magnetic field. Our body is conductive to the earth and the earth is conductive to our body. Earthing is the first and quite influential benefit of walking barefoot, but there are many other benefits of walking barefoot as well. Such as:

Keeps Feet Healthy

Walking barefoot is great exercise for your feet. It strengthens and stretches the muscles, tendons and ligaments in your feet, ankles and calves. This helps prevent injury, knee strain and back problems. It also improves flexor strength and is beneficial for people who have flat feet.

Energy Absorption

The basic energy of life is studied and found to be absorbed through our feet. This is why grounding has become more of a necessity. Since the energy is absorbed from the earth, this activates the sensors and thus one performs even better.

Improves Eyesight

Our feet have many points that we can call as pressure points or reflexology Now many of us are unaware of this fact but this is true. These points have very strong connections with different organs inside the body.So when you are neglecting your feet, you’re basically neglecting the body.Walking barefoot on grass provides that smooth and softening sensation to the feet. Especially walking barefoot emphasizes pressure on the first toes that are known to have an impact on the eyesight.

Provides Vitamin D

  • When we plan to take out time to go out and walk barefoot we are also exposing our skin to the benefits of the sunlight. Our body gets the chance to feel the sun rays touch the skin and nourish our bodies.Vitamin D is essentially important for the hair, skin and nails and for all the bones in the body.

Fight Stress and Anxiety

Walking barefoot on grass, especially in the morning, helps rejuvenate your senses and calm the mind. The combination of fresh air, warm sunlight, green surroundings and the peaceful morning atmosphere helps in many ways.Fresh oxygen is good for your body’s organs, sunlight provides vitamin D and the calm atmosphere helps relax your entire body and mind. This in turn helps you feel more relaxed and relieves stress and anxiety.

In addition, earthing  promote cardiovascular health, boost brain power and strengthen the immune and nervous systems.

Walking without shoes may even lead to smelly feet, which can be quite annoying for others. You may even notice severe pain when you first change your routine and go barefoot.

“It is never too late to explore the benefits of walking barefoot. It’s not a rocket science either – just slip off your shoes and place your bare feet on the ground for a few minutes.”
